What is a PSC SSB interview?

A PSC SSB (Services Selection Board) interview is a multi-day selection process used by the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) to assess the suitability of candidates for commissioning into the armed forces as officers. The process typically includes a series of psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews, as well as a medical examination. The goal of the PSC SSB interview is to evaluate the candidate's leadership potential, communication skills, and overall suitability for a career in the armed forces.

  • Stage 1: This stage is held on the first day and consists of an intelligence test and a picture perception and discussion test. The intelligence test is designed to assess the candidate's ability to understand and analyze information, while the picture perception and discussion test is designed to evaluate the candidate's ability to observe, interpret, and communicate information.

The psychological tests are designed to evaluate the candidate's personality, aptitude, and emotional stability.
